I am over half way into the Christmas show season. During this time, I have talked to a lot of shoppers, and/or hear them discuss the products I sell.  More specifically how they refer to the slumped bottles.  I have made a list, not sure this serves any purpose, but I think it is amusing. Here is a list of names I hear customers call the bottles: Slumped BottlesMelted BottlesSmashed BottlesFlat BottlesFlattened BottlesSquished BottlesSqueezed BottlesCrushed Bottles In addition to the various names given to the flat bottles, I also get many questions/comments: Most, of course - "How did you do...

I have been struggling to keep up with demand utilizing my current kiln. I can only fit 2 wine bottles in it, which I slump into wine bottle cheese trays, and other items. It is a Paragon Trio, which has (and will continue) served its purpose well.  My new kiln is an Olympic GF314E. The interior is 25" x 25" x 13.5"!  I should be able to fit approximately 7 wine bottles for slumping.  This bigger, deeper kiln also allows me the ability to make some other recycled glass items that have been bouncing around in my head, but have...

As I mentioned in my previouse post, I got a Kiln for Christmas. Of course Santa didn't bring it, I had to buy it myself.  I really like the Kiln.  It is a Paragon Trio, and is designed for slumping bottles.  I can fit 2 wine bottles into the kiln at a time.  The firing process takes over 9 hours, and by the time the kiln is cool, nearly 15-18 hours has elapsed. I like the look of melted wine bottles. Over the last several days, I have been doing some trial bottle slumping to see what turns out.  My...

Some of our popular flat wine bottles are: Snack N Dip - This bottle features two serving wells in one bottle.  This wine tray is...
